  • Individually crafted. This limited edition piece features a hand-embroidery by Neng Iren, inspired by our Mama Kapas program that support smallholder farmers to reclaim their indigenous organic regenerative farming wisdom.
  • Free of harmful chemicals. Made to last using handwoven raw cotton, the fabric lets your skin breathe and gets softer with every wear.

STORY

KAPAS means cotton in Indonesian. Each piece in this farm-to-closet collection is grown regeneratively to heal Mother Earth. Restoring the soil's natural ability to absorb carbon from the atmosphere through our Ibus' ancestral Tumpang Sari wisdom. Taking 180 days to grow, spin, weave and stitch.

A Must Have In Any Wardrobe!

Its simple design allows for this piece to be the must-have for anybody's wardrobe. I especially love this piece because it makes me look dressed up even when I'm wearing jeans as bottoms. The pleats on the bodice was what grabbed my attention at first, because it just adds to the look. The durability of the cotton material was also what gravitated me – the texture and quality of the material is just so sturdy that you can feel the handcrafted touch of the Ibus who made these pieces through a slow process. This piece is undoubtedly my go-to top!

The cutest and comfiest tee!

I was initially hesitant about the Crop Tee because of its cropped silhouette (my body does not usually look good in cropped tops) but this one somehow is different. I was hooked from the moment that I tried it on; and finally got my first Crop Tee in Mama Kapas! The fabric is really soft and the uber cute embroidery just adds a simple but eye-catching touch. Really satisfied with this purchase and looking forward to seeing the Crop Tee in other colors!

More than Just A Tee

Im not sure why no one is reviewing this crop tee yet because I am literally obsessed with it. On a first glance it might look a little “plain” compared to other tops with more exciting colors and patters but truly, dont sleep on this one.

The details of this tee are far from boring - the different textures, the cuffed sleeves, the side slits, and the high low cut (I usually dont like high-low tops but this time i have no complaints) - all these things really add to the tee. This is the perfect “grown-up tee” that is a few steps up from your generic white tees that you can just put on and you know it’ll look good on you every single time.

Such a beautiful piece from the Ibus and kudos to the Sukkhacitta team for the wonderful design and amazing customer service as always. 🤍
