Chris Martin in SukkhaCitta:
Hope for Regeneration
It’s not often that a moment in fashion speaks to something deeper, something that has the power to change the world. But that’s exactly what happened when Chris Martin, frontman of Coldplay, chose to wear our Angkasa Beskap — a piece that embodies the values of regeneration and purpose.
The Angkasa Beskap is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of the Ibus ('mothers') in villages across Indonesia. Taking 180 days to craft, each stars are drawn by hand as a symbol of purpose.
Of choosing light, even when the world feels so dark.
“Anyone who criticises me for talking about fair trade is a few pebbles short of a beach. Because everyone should care about it, just like everyone should care about the environment, because we all live here.”

The black is dyed using our SweetIndigo™, a natural process that involves 30 dips in our sugar Indigo vat to achieve the deep hue while preventing toxic chemicals from our rivers. The plants are grown in agroforestry around our villages to regenerate our soil while creating a fully traceable farm-to-closet process.
This is what makes each SukkhaCitta piece so special. It’s not just a piece of clothing; it’s a movement. It's about more than just wearing something beautiful—it’s about choosing a future where every choice we make can restore biodiversity, sustain indigenous culture, while ensuring women can earn a fair wage.
Chris Martin’s decision to wear this handcrafted piece was a small yet significant step towards a regenerative future. And it reminds us all that we have the power to shape the world with every choice we make.
