CANANG - Sylk Kain
"Kain' means cloth, a piece that has captured a woman's unique story through generations. Reinterpreting the Pagi Sore traditional composition, your piece features a modern symmetry of golden flowers that contrast with the subtle dots that adorn this meaningful fabric of life.
WHY SHE'S SPECIAL
- One piece, endless possibilities. Wear it over your shoulder as a shawl, tie around your waist as a skirt, style it as a dress, or hang it as an art piece.
- Soft and luxurious. Nothing can describe the delicateness of our vegan silk on your skin. The edges are hand-rolled stitched, taking our Ibu 1 whole day to finish!
Golden flowers, with the most special naturally dyed colors. Our Ibus drew each petal with hot beeswax, hand-painting each with Terminallia Belirica fruits she boiled the day before. She then covered them with wax again before dyeing your piece in SweetIndigo™ 30x to get the Forest hue to almost black! The Burgundy Gold is the same process, but using agricultural waste: Sappan wood and banana leaf stem.
CANANG is a reminder that you always have a choice. Inspired by the Balinese tradition of gratitude, each of the SERIBU BUNGA petal is individually arranged in this limited edition launch. Wrapping you in a story that bridges the past, present and future. Each made by hand and blessed by the soul.
